In 1937, an enterprising young man named Romeo Brunelli founded an auto dealership called Central Chevrolet in Fremont, CA. Recognizing the growing need for reliable vehicle recovery services, he later developed a towing division to serve the dealership's customers as well as several local county and state agencies. This new division quickly gained a reputation for its efficient and trustworthy service, laying the groundwork for what would become a cornerstone of the community.
By the 1950s, Romeo’s son, Richard Brunelli, had joined the family business, working diligently in both the auto dealership and the towing division. As a second-generation member, Richard brought fresh ideas and energy to the company. Under his guidance, the businesses continued to flourish. Gradually, Richard began the process of taking over the companies, ensuring a smooth transition as Mr. Brunelli Sr. retired. Richard’s leadership marked a new era for Central Chevrolet and its towing division, solidifying their place as trusted service providers in the Fremont area.
